May 2022 – Multicolor buildings, murals and artwork displayed throughout the city, got my attention in Tirana, the capital of Albania. The enthusiastic artistic effort started some years ago by a former city mayor determined to uplift, not only the looks of the city, but also the spirit of its people that for many years endured very hard times during communism.
Located in the Balkan Peninsula, Albania is inhabited by friendly, family oriented people and blessed with a beautiful Mediterranean climate.
