In the spring of 2002, after the snow had melted and professional skill wasn’t required, I traveled to Argentina to hike on the Aconcagua Mountain.
In Buenos Aires, the Paris of South America and the cradle of the Tango, the Jacaranda trees were in bloom and their fragrance everywhere.
Everything was going well – until we tried to cross 9 de Julio Avenue – the widest avenue in the world with twelve lanes of chaotic traffic. I so appreciated the stress-free road I regularly cross at home!
