2011- India, the second most populated country in the world has immense and lush vegetation, miles of pristine beaches and a rich cuisine. After few days touring Delhi and visiting a friend, I traveled to the city of Agra to see the Taj Mahal, and soon after headed south to Goa, the smallest state of India.
The flight from Delhi to Panaji the capital of Goa, took us to a beautiful but humid region of India. For over 450 years Goa was a Portuguese Colony, it became a lucrative spice trading post, and in 1961 was annexed to India. Looking forward to practice Portuguese I was disappointed to find out this once official language, was only spoken by few elderly. Nevertheless I enjoyed the warm beaches, fresh seafood, and the mix Indian and Portuguese culture.
