In 2008 with the purpose to practice Portuguese and experience the culture I traveled to this country located on the southeast corner of Africa. After a short flight from Johannesburg I arrived in Maputo, the capital, a very large city but not as chaotic as imagined. The charm of this country is in their laid-back life style, the lively music and the great patience of the people. I enjoyed the pristine beaches, the opportunity to tag along with a group observing microfinance programs in rural areas and the best, fresh prawns at an unbelievable price.
