In 2018 I started my trip in San Jos\u00e9, the capital and third city in the world to have street lights after New York and Paris.<\/p>\n<p>In the \u201850s President Jos\u00e9 Figueres Ferer abolished the military, this minimized revolts and the money saved was used for education and health programs.
